Brazilian game developer Mad Mimic Interactive and publisher Neowiz have turned up the neon lights in their roguelite release today with Dandy Ace. The game features fast 2D isometric action and a Twitch mode for shenanigans from stream viewers as they get to call the shots inside the cursed mirror.
Presented as an over the top fast-paced roguelike players get to dive into the fancy shows of flash magician Dandy Ace. He uses magical cards to fight and loot his way through the Cursed Mirror. This is a mystical place where his devious competitor and jealous nemesis, the green-eyed illusionist Lele, has trapped Ace.
In the Cursed Mirror players have access to different cards that can combine creating over a thousand different possibilities. At the game’s core is a very flexible skill system based on the cards that Ace has up his sleeve. Each new possibility gives players new challenges and combinations to explore as they fight back against Lele and his many minions.
Like all roguelite games, death can and will happen. For Dandy each run makes him stronger with permanent upgrades. Each run and upgrade allows players to progress further as they advance against Lele.
Dandy Ace is the culmination of a lot of heart, soul, sweat, and tears. Mad Mimic has crafted something truly endearing in the world of Dandy Ace, and we’ve seen press and content creators alike fall in love with it over the last few weeks.Don Hudson, Product Manager, Neowiz
Twitch mode allows viewers to have a say inside the Cursed Mirror. Stream viewers can provide aid or hinder the streamer’s progress while also taunting them. This can be the ultimate test to see how kind or cruel one’s community may be, but in the in end it is all good fun. Even if there is a setback from some viewer shenanigan’s there is always the next run.
Dandy Ace, JennyJenny, JollyJolly, and even Lele are all very near and dear to us at Mad Mimic. We’re ecstatic to be launching this title with NEOWIZ today, and cannot wait to tell you all more about the DLC and console launches in the near future.Luis Sampaio, COO of Mad Mimic
