Dyson Sphere Program Short-term Roadmap

Indie developer Youthcat Studio and publisher Gamera Game have released a short-term roadmap for their 3D open world sci-fi space automation title Dyson Sphere Program. After the game’s first week on Steam early access, more than 350,000 copies were sold and the title rocks an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating of 97% with 11,887 reviews.

A basic logistics management system framework is coming in February. As the game’s development progresses this framework will be fleshed out more. The first implementation will bring mostly basic logistic solutions such as far transportation distance and quantity requirements for delivering goods.

New construction options are coming very soon as well. Players will be able to upgrade certain buildings and conveyors by placing the upgraded versions over the lower grade versions. This will eliminate the need to demolish the lower grade facilities.

Customizable key bindings are coming soon too that gives players the ability to customize their controls to fit their preferred keyboard playstyle. Since the early access release the developer has released nearly a dozen hotfixes that cover a wide range of changes from reworked English technology descriptions to increasing the maximum FPS options. The latest patch notes along with previous patch note releases can be found here.

All of these features on the Dyson Sphere Program short-term roadmap are expected to be implemented ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday which begins on February 12, 2021. A much more detailed roadmap will be published soon that will include details about Steam Workshop integrations, combat features, and space platforms.

Dyson Sphere Program is now available in early access on Steam for $19.99 USD. The Dyson Sphere Program Soundtrack is also available as a separate DLC for $4.99 USD on Steam. For more information about Dyson Sphere Program visit the game’s Steam page or follow @DysonProgram on Twitter.
