Swords and Sandals Crusader Redux Out on Steam

Whiskeybarrel Studios and eGames.com have released a remake of a Flash classic with Swords and Sandals Crusader Redux on Steam. Originally released in 2007, this reforged and remastered from the ground up edition features some new additions.

All of the classic fast paced action of the original with raising armies, fighting battles, and conquering lands is still there. Adding to the strategic wargame are tournaments, mini-adventures, and survival mode. The turn-based tactical 2D combat takes place across 9 chapters and 41 missions. Nineteen Eighty-Fortnite – #FreeFortnite | Epic Games

Epic Games Gives Some Apple Users V-Bucks

Week 13 of the Epic Games versus Apple went by with very little development in the ongoing court battle. However, Epic Games did make an attempt to appease some Apple Fortnite players with V-Bucks. Since there has been a complete lack of updates for those who play on Mac or iOS devices, Epic is doubling the number of unused V-Bucks that were purchased on the platform. The V-Bucks should appear by November 9 in the player’s accounts according to the Fortnite Status Twitter account.

Elsewhere in the gaming universe Nvidia’s GeForce Now might allow Fortnite to be playable on iOS through the cloud. Possibly later this year, according to BBC Reports, with a more official announcement is expected before the holidays. The idea is that GeForce Now will run inside of Safari and not as a standalone app. This will be a paid service and should be workaround for those who really want to play Fortnite on their Mac or iOS devices until the conflict between the two companies is resolved.

Currently there seems to be few developments in the situation between the two companies, however with court dates set for 2021 one can place a bet on lawyers for both parties being busy. According to a court filling from this past October confirms that the case is heading to a bench trial rather than a jury trial as requested by both parties with the date set for May 3, 2021. A pretrial conference will be held on April 21, 2021. Continued development on this story is expected as next year’s court date approaches.
