Solasta: Crown of the Magister Steam Autumn Demo

Today Tactical Adventures released a demo during the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition for its soon to be in early access tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister. The Paris based indie game developer will keep the demo available until Tuesday, October 13 with the early access launch a week later.

Under a license granted to Tactical Adventure by Wizards of the Coast, the team-based adventure uses the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and rules. Each character plays a critical role in the game’s turn-based combat campaign where they their actions can make them a hero or a point of failure for the group.

The world is both dynamic and mysterious. Elements of verticality allow players to use the surrounding environment as a part of their strategy when progressing through dungeons. From positioning ranged characters at vantage points to sending their thief down shafts to scout ahead the environment offers many different tactics.

Light is an important tool in Solasta. The light can be used as a weapon against creatures of the dark, however, it can also give away the party’s position to all of the other nasty creatures that lurk in the darkness.

Players who are looking to play the demo can visit the Solasta: Crown of the Magister Steam page or check out the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition for access. The demo is available now through Tuesday, October 13 for the duration of the event.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is heading to Steam as an early access release on October 20 at the price of $34.99 USD. More information about Solasta: Crown of the Magister can be found on the game’s website at solasta-game.com or the Solasta: Crown of the Magister Discord.
