Awe Interactive has released their indie rhythm FPS, BPM: Bullets Per Minute, where every action, every shot is pulled off to the beat of an epic soundtrack. From retro stylized randomly generated dungeons to non-stop rock music this game delivers one powerful shot.
Taking on the role of the mighty Valkyrie, of which players will get to choose one out of five, one will find themselves in randomly generated dungeons jam packed with ridiculous monsters. The goal is simple. Players will use their Valkyrie to drop these monsters, beat back bosses to the beat, and look really gnarly while getting stuff done.
There are a total of seven bosses that players will need to annihilate in order to reach the final big bad boss. Along the way there is an assortment of weapons, abilities and other items, 40 in total, to help blast to the beat while making each playthrough feel unique.
BPM: Bullets Per Minute is what happens when the best elements of a roguelike, the intensity of a rhythm-action game, and the unadulterated and unashamed fun of a retro-shooter like Doom all crash into each other in one game. It’s hard, it’s fierce, and it takes some getting used to, but once you find the beat it’s very difficult to stop.

Whoever said that epic rock operas were dead is simply dead wrong. The soundtrack takes inspiration from musical greats such as Wagner, Muse and Audioslave to create a powerful audio backdrop to the carnage. From flying through the air with shotgun rockets to the varying enemies with unique rhythmic behaviors this soundtrack delivers the hard hitting beat needed to get the job done.
BPM: Bullets Per Minute is available on Windows PC through Steam for $19.99 USD. A special launch release discount runs until September 22, 2020 that knocks 10% off the game’s price. For more information about visit the game’s website at bulletsperminute.com or follow @bpmgame on Twitter.
