Canadian developer Blue Moose Games has announced that its first game, Road Z: The Last Drive, has a release date set for August. Along with the release date comes the first trailer for the zombie road action.
Players who have always wanted to just run down, run over, or simply turn zombies into road kill soon will be able to play out their dream. In Road Z: The Last Drive there is plenty of action, driving and upgrades.
The game world is completely occupied by zombies. Through an amazing act of science, Doctor Lactus has created a vaccine to save the world. However, he needs the player to take the vaccine on a race across the United States to a laboratory in Washington. Before the zombie apocalypse one could just jump on a plane. Now all that is left are lots of cars and plenty of zombies to kill.
Upgrades to cars can be obtained by collecting hardware from hitting zombies. The motor, fuel tank, armor along with adding and upgrading a nitro bottle will keep players traveling on any normal road just fine. However, this is the zombie apocalypse so a turret and a flamethrower upgrade to any vehicle will provide any traveler an effective means of eliminating zombie threats.
Plus if someone is looking for some face to face zombie action, there is that too when hopping out of the vehicle to explore the surrounding area for resources. There are a total of 5 vehicles, 60 upgrades, and both first-person and third-person views. When the game is released in late August it will be localized in English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese.
Road Z: The Last Drive is scheduled for release on August 21, 2020 for Windows PC on Steam. The Friday release will give players a full weekend of zombie roadkill fun. For more information about the game visit the developer’s website here.
