Bonfire Tactical RPG in Early Access on Steam

Indie developer and publisher MoaCube released their tactical roguelike RPG clicker Bonfire into early access on Steam. Described as a bite-sized, the deeply tactical RPG features a rapid turn-based battle system.

The story of Bonfire follows the heroine Hildie and her group of misfits. Their world has collapsed and now they journey across the desolate lands to hunt down and destroy the Faceless Overload of the Mournfolk. While many believe her quest is hopeless, for Hildie, lost causes are her jam.

Quick and intense gameplay sessions, crazy builds, a procedurally generated world and gloomy story all come together for fast click-filled entertainment. Simple rules allow deep tactics to emerge as players dive into battle. The heavily character-driven story further pulls players into the gameplay as they trek across a world that the heroes already failed to save.

Don’t be fooled by the fast gameplay sessions. Bonfire is difficult and challenging. Players are encouraged to make their own builds and party comps to figure out which subtle synergies work best for their playstyle. Success depends on the setup and tactically flexibility of the group. Decisions can lead to fatal mistakes, but since the runs are bite-sized, adjustments can be made that lead to victory-filled showers of blood and coins.

Bonfire is now available in early access on Steam for $17.99 USD. A special promotion runs until April 2 discounting the game down to $16.19 USD. The Bonfire free demo is available now on the game’s Steam page. For more information visit the game’s page on the MoaCube website.
