Puddle Knights Out on Steam

Lockpickle is the knight in shinning armor with a cape to protect the nobles from mud in Puddle Knights as it debuts on Steam. Today’s launch for the single-player turn-based puzzle game features loads of medieval scenery and lots of muddy action.

In Puddle Knights, players traverse and solve over 100 levels of increasing difficulty. As players direct their knights a cape trailing behind them in a snakelike fashion provides a path for the nobles. The effort is required for the nobles to reach the goal without getting any mud on their high-society fancy clothes.

Sometimes players may need to use their hear or rather their knight’s head to solve the puzzle. Other inventive tactical maneuvers will be needed to advance that include holding down drawbridges or tearing up ones cape. Unlike other puzzle games there are no keys to collect, no boxes to push and no pressure plates to weigh down.

Mistakes happen. In some games this is a problem and very unforgiving. Here in Puddle Knights, not a problem. The Undo and Reset functions encourage players to experiment and come up with interesting solutions to solve the problem before them. Plus there is no rush against a clock so one has all the time necessary to think out and analyze the puzzle.

When the release date for Puddle Knights was announced for March 3, 2020 back in February a gameplay trailer was released. Several screenshots were also released that showed off the medieval puzzle scenes and the gameplay cape mechanic in action.

Puddle Knights is now available on Steam for Windows PC and Mac at the regular price of $12.99 USD. A special promotion celebrating the game’s launch runs until March 10, 2020 discounting the game down to $11.69 USD.
