Overwatch Lunar New Year 2020

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch Lunar New Year 2020 event is now underway for the Year of the Rat. For those unfamiliar with Overwatch’s seasonal events, this year’s Lunar New Year is similar to that of last years with new skins, player icons, voice lines, sprays, and other cosmetic items.

In addition the Capture the Flag mode returns to Arcade for the Lunar New Year. CTF Blitz is a new mode and modified take on the regular CTF. The flags are closer than before and are at locations that overtime games typically go to. Instead of three flag captures, it now takes six to win a match.

Weekly Challenges are here for the Lunar New Year as well. Each week a new limited-time set of rewards can be unlocked by winning nine games. The rewards include player icons, sprays, and epic skins. Week 1 is all about Monk Doomfist, where Week 2 brings in Ancient Bronze Winston. In Week 3, the final week, players are treated with Paper Cutting Wrecking Ball.

Lastly be on the lookout for the new Face Changer Sombra skin. As Reddit user Owlero pointed out, Sombra’s gun also matches her new face with the skin.

The Overwatch Year of the Rat celebration started on January 16, and runs until February 6, 2019. Happy Lunar New Year and good luck on farming those new epic and legendary skins!
