Jingle Jam 2019

Gaming’s largest charity fundraiser, Jingle Jam is here again for 2019 and with it an all new games bundle. The aim is to raise millions for worthy causes around the globe.

The Jingle Jam launched in 2011 and since then has raised over $15 million for charity causes. In 2018, approximately 90,000 gamers helped to donate $3.3 million and at the start of 2019’s fundraising drive $250,000 was raised in the first 8 minutes.

Jingle Jam’s latest game collection over at Humble Bundle is available now for a minimum charitable donation of $30 USD and if someone desires to donate more they can. The Humble Jingle Jam Bundle has the backing of publishers from around the world and each day through December 20 more content is unlocked. A typical Humble Jingle Jam Bundle is worth at least $700 making this a great reason to purchase for PC gamers.

Along with the bundle, game streaming collective The Yogscast, will be broadcasting live for a minimum of 12 hours a day throughout the campaign. Jingle Jam 2019 will be supporting Grand Appeal, Mental Health Foundation, Special Effect, Stand Up To Cancer, War Child, Whale & Dolphin Conservation, Access Sport, and Call of Duty Endowment.

The Humble Jingle Jam 2019 Bundle is available for purchase over at Humble Bundle with a minimum $30 USD donation.

Demon Pit Coming to Consoles

Inspired by 1990s era FPS classics such as Quake, Quake II, Doom, and Blood, Demon Pit features total endless wave action of hellspawn. The game had been made available for PC this past October and now it is time unleash hell on the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

Demon Pit is a collaboration between developers DoomCube and Psychic Software. In addition they brought in talented composer Thomas O’Boyle for the music composition work. All of this effort created an ever changing arena with seven different ranged weapons, a soul grapple to quickly transverse the arena, score multipliers, and competitive leaderboards.

Currently, Demon Pit is available on Steam for PC at the price of $8.99 USD. The PS4 release arrives on December 17 in North America and December 18 in the EU. Xbox One release is set for December 24 and Nintendo Switch on December 25. All the latest information about the Demon Pit can be found on the game’s website at demonpitgame.com or @DemonPitGame on Twitter.

Darksburg Closed Beta

From Shiro Games comes an over-the-top medieval zombie co-op in Darksburg. The game entered closed beta this past week on Steam.

In Darksburg, up to four players team up in an effort to rid the town of hungry zombies. Completely overrun, it is up to the players to survive the undead horde using various colorful characters with special powers and abilities. Examples are Varag, an escaped werewolf, or the viciously compassionate Sister Abigail.

The zombies in Darksburg are not the typical zombies players may have seen in past games. These zombies, called Revenants, are powerful zombies that are controlled by AI or by other humans in versus mode. They will use ambush tactics in an effort to stop the heroic group on their quest for safety. Each objective-based map will require fast work and effective use of abilities to survive and even more so in the grueling Last Stand mode.

In the closed beta, there are four playable Survivors and Revenants, three maps, and all game modes including Last Stand. The game is still currently in active development with plans to allow testers into the closed beta at set intervals. A full launch is planned for sometime in February 2020.

Interested players can wishlist the game now on Steam, join others in the Darksburg Discord, follow the developer @shirogames on Twitter, or visit the game’s website at darksburg.com. Players who are interested in joining the closed beta can register here on the game’s website.
