The much anticipated VR sword fighting title, Swords of Gargantua, from gumi Inc. and Yomuneco, has slashed its way on to Steam and the Oculus Store today.
After a series of Closed Beta Tests, Swords of Gargantua is now ready for launch for the following: HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, and Oculus Quest. In addition leading up to the release a series challenge videos have appeared on the Swords of Gargantua YouTube Channel.
Commemorating the release of Swords of Gargantua players have access to a campaign where they can earn a special unique sword. All who purchase the game and launch it at least once before Friday, June 21, 2019 will unlock a special sword at the end of the event. The unique sword will be delivered in-game in a update the follows after the end of the event.
Swords of Gargantua features a hyper-realist sword fighting experience in VR. The developer has taken great care and testing to make each battle feel fun and real with heavy refinement of the battle system and haptic feedback. In other words the action tries to mimic reality as much as possible.
The game includes cross-platform four-player co-op support with native voice chat. Friends can play with friends regardless of which platform and can communicate with each other as they develop strategies to cut down the hordes of foe or provide cover as one helps to revive a downed ally.
With over 50 single player missions, 30 weapons to unlock, and a multiplayer mode that is rarely seen in VR melee action titles, Swords of Gargantua is huge. One may even say it is gargantuan.
And lastly Swords of Gargantua has a super boss. In this case a mighty titan called Gargantua. It is larger and more challenging that anything else that has been seen in the game. Players will have a chance to embrace destiny and take on the titan.
Swords of Gargantua is now available on Steam and the Oculus Store at a price of $19.99 USD. For more information visit the game’s website at gargantuavr.com.
