Haxor Game Sale and 1.01 Content Update

The retro action adventure Commodore 64 like game Haxor is on sale along with a 1.01 content update that adds additional polishing to the title.

Haxor, the retro 2D platformer released this past April, had update 1.01 drop earlier this morning. In what is described as the final phase of working on the game, the developer, Climou, has turned up the playability.

Invisibility has a new power. When activated enemies will become immobilized, frozen in place, for the duration, much like a stone statue. This gives player more choice where they could use invulnerability to pass through an enemy, jump of them, or find a gap to move through.

An important change added in the update adds that a players life now restores on each level and the save reset screen bug has been resolved. In addition several fixes to various level design issues, enemy bugs, and typos are addressed in the update. The full change log is listed below.

Full Change Log:

  • The Invisible power now has a special addon – the enemies are frozen for the duration of the power.
  • Fixed Fulgur Dragon Boss – Head was not immortal in the first and second phase.
  • You can now jump on monster eggs to destroy them.
  • Fixed some level design issues.
  • Fixed some typos.
  • Life now restores on each level.
  • Corrections in the amount of enemies HP.
  • Fixed Fulgur Hydra Boss
  • Save Reset Screen Fixed

Haxor will be on sale at a 40% discount that starts June 3rd, 2019 at 10 AM PST and runs until 10 AM PST June 10th. Players can find Haxor on Steam for Windows PC. Regularly priced at $6.99 USD the sale brings the game down to $4.19 USD. The minimum system requirements include 2.0 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM, DirectX 9 compatible graphics card with at least 256 MB video memory, and 100 MB of hard drive space. Haxor is also Microsoft Xbox One Controller compatible.

The developer also added “↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A Start” telling players “You know what to do with this ;)”

Climou is a two person studio based out of Warsaw, Poland. The studio wants to infuse the indie gaming scene with a jolt of Eastern-European retro-styled gameplay.

Fat Dog Games (@FatDogGames Twitter) is the publisher of Haxor. Based in Warsaw, Poland the publisher helps small indie developers get their names out to the public. The publisher has helped launch several titles including Dream Alone, Exorder, and Apparition.
