Cities: Skylines Campus Expansion This May

Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order are back with another entry in the Cities: Skylines franchise with the Campus Expansion this May.

In this latest Campus expansion university life comes to player’s cities. New area types are available for any sort of student with Trade Schools, Liberal Arts, and University.

Like real world universities with real reputations, players will need to work on increasing the reputation of their campuses. This can be done by attracting students and creating Academic Works.

With college life also comes college sports. There are five types of varsity sports arenas that include football, basketball, baseball, track & field, and swimming. Teams are managed, coaches are hired, and even tickets sold. By winning matches players can collect prizes. Cheerleaders and coaches can be added to teams along with customizable unique jerseys.

Seven new policies have been added to accommodate university life such as book fairs and for-profit education. Academic works can be sponsored through research grants and supporting the staff. All the scientific achievements can be displayed in museums. Speaking of achievements there are also seven new achievements and five new maps.

Like previous Cities: Skylines DLC there are some freebies that includes two new library buildings, a new yellow school bus, job titles in the citizen panel, and new industry policies are coming in a free update later in May 2019.

Two new radio stations and a new content creator pack are coming too. Deep Focus Radio is a selection of ambient and lo-fi study music presented by DJ “Deep Thought.” Campus Rock Radio is a station filled with college rock, teen pop, happy punk, and power chord music for the campus parties featuring DJ Claude Couture. Each station features 16 unique tracks are $3.99 USD each.

Cities: Skylines Content Creator Pack: University City lets players give their city a real university town look and feel. A new selection of building spawns created by Mike “KingLeno” Leno features 36 low-density residential buildings, 32 low-density commercial buildings, and 15 props including commercial signs and logos that reflect student life. The price of this content creators pack in $4.99 USD.

All of these DLC and the Cities: Skylines Campus DLC will be available on Steam May 21, 2019. This DLC requires Cities: Skylines in order to play.
