Shards of Infinity Strategy Card Game Out Now

Temple Gates Games have released their latest title, Shards of Infinity, a strategy card game today for iOS, Android, and PC users.

As a follow-up to the award winning deck-building card game, Ascension, Shards of Infinity takes place one-hundred years in the past. The Infinity Engine was then shattered and its reality-bending shards destroyed most of the world. It falls on players to build and gather forces to form an army to defeat adversaries and rebuild the Infinity Engine.

Players build up their armies by recruiting allies and champions from four unique factions. Surprise attacks can be launched on foes instantly by deploying mercenaries. Through mastering the Shard of Infinity players can unlock limitless power.

There are 128 cards in Shards of Infinity. Games are designed around 2-4 players and should last about 30 minutes. A major feature allows for network multiplayer cross platform support. In other words if a friend has iOS and another Android, they can still play together.

The game also features a neural network AI based on Keldon Jones’ research. Jones’ AI work was previously seen in Race for the Galaxy with a neural network of over 500 nodes. That AI had trained on over thirty thousand games where each time it played it would learn and adapt to improve its strength.

Shards of Infinity is available today, May 6, 2019 on iOS, Android, and Steam for PC at a price of $7.99 USD.
