GRIS ‘A Serene and Evocative’ Narrative Game Drops in December

Developed by the indie outfit Nomada Studio, GRIS is a narrative platformer about a young hopeful girl, Gris, lost in her own world of pain and sorrow. Devolver Digital, the game’s publisher, revealed the December 13, 2018 release date and a trailer showing off the detailed artistic world.

As Gris deals with the pain in her life, her sorrow is manifested in her dress. She gains new abilities that enable her better navigate her reality. Gris will grow emotionally as the story progresses revealing new paths to explore with her abilities.

Players will experience and explore a stunning world “brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score.” In GRIS players are free of danger, frustration, or death. The game consists of light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges.

GRIS launches on December 13 and is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Nomada Studio is based in Barcelona. The studio is comprised of experienced developers and artists outside of videos that are disciplined in graphic design, illustration, and painting. GRIS is the studio’s debut title and features art from noted artist Conrad Roset (Follow on Twitter) and music from Berlinist (Follow on Twitter).
